Photography is a superb medium of telling a story, explaining an event or describing a point in history. All of this is certainly true in the photographic and media industries, and one photographer that currently excels in making the most of an ‘alternative viewpoint’ is Jack Boskett.
It may be reassuring to know that his skill set is entirely self-taught. Jack has not completed a photography degree or attended any course. His learning has come from encouragement and constructive criticism from his father who put a camera in his hand at the age of five. From then the approach turned into a “learn-by-doing” method, improving through reflection and practicing the skills further.
Jack began working professionally as a photographer aged 19 and established his photography business in Tewkesbury at the start of 2010. He rapidly developed a wealth of knowledge in many sectors by building an excellent reputation with clients from day one.
Every day, Jack's work appears in a host of national and local newspapers, magazines, websites, books and journals. His breadth of work with businesses frequently reaches outside the town boundaries and across the whole of the UK.
Jack's appeal lies in his ability to adapt to every job and approach every assignment with consummate professionalism. His passion and raw talent for photography shows through in every image, resulting in an increasingly wide client base.
Jack says, “I am fortunate that, through my work as a professional photographer, I have been able to access locations and environments that are normally out of reach. These have presented me with photographic achievements in a host of industries. Many of which have not only been a pleasure, but an immense privilege, because I am humbled to say I have worked on exclusive jobs with railway companies, the national press and even with members of the Royal Household. Opportunities like these make all of the hard work worthwhile and for that I am extremely grateful.”
