The stunning riverside town

offers a modern life in an historic setting

The extraordinary riverside town of Tewkesbury is a great place to live with a rich heritage spanning more than 1000 years, the varied architecture reflects the many periods of prosperity in the town.

Homes through the ages

Alongside half-timbered Medieval houses there are Tudor, Georgian and Victorian properties which sit side-by-side to provide an eclectic mix of homes in the town centre.

Surrounding the town are more modern houses and building continues today to provide homes for the growing population.

The rural hinterland around Tewkesbury boasts many villages providing the option of rural living or surrounding towns and cities offer a more urban environment.

All the facilities you need

The town centre offers all shops and services you need for day-to-day life.  Alongside banks, building societies and a Post Office, there is a combination of expert, independent retailers alongside well-known High Street names.  There is also plenty of choice when it comes to services such as opticians, dentists and estate agents.

A host of pubs, cafes and restaurants offer a wealth of different food and drink experiences and a weekly market, monthly Farmers' & Craft Market and regular High Street Fine Food & Arts Markets make Tewkesbury a popular destination. For more information see www.visittewkesbury.info

Healthcare for all

Opened in 2014, Tewkesbury Community Hospital in Barton Street offers inpatient and outpatient facilities, a minor injury unit plus x-ray and ultrasound services, occupational therapy and physiotherapy.

There is a purpose-built super-surgery next to the hospital with a pharmacy on site.
